Japanese superstar DJ, producer, model and all round celebrity Shinichi Osawa returns to England with ‘Love Will Guide You’ a brand new single that see’s Shinichi team up with Tommie Sunshine to bring the sunshine into 2011.

In Love Will Guide You, Shinichi takes a break from the hard electro he’s so well known for in his homeland, to create a sort of Japanese DFA sound mixed with an almost MGMT-esque vocal!

Shinichi Osawa originally started out as the bass player in popular Japanese outfit Mondo Grosso, after the band split Shinichi went on to work on his own productions most notably in the UK his version of The Chemical Brothers’ “Star Guitar” which was received with high acclaim at both press and radio.

Shinichi has been bubbling away in the midst of the UK underground for a couple of years now, and the so called ‘producer’s producer’ is about to enter uncharted territory!

New Kid on the block JMD with his Debut EP!

One thing that we aim to do here on the Whats Your Status? Blog is inform you all about some of the hottest new comers to the industry. First up we have 'JMD' or we know his as 'Jim-bob'. His productions have only been floating around since the latter end of last year but his more recent tracks have started to prick up a few ears. After coming second place in the The Squatters "Minesweeper" remix competition (ran by Champion Records) he is back with his first original release. His debut signing is a heavyweight EP with indie dance label "Strange Deck Records'. The EP Includes two hard hitting club tracks which im sure will get support from of few of the big boys!

The Judgement Sundays line up has been confirmed for 2011. Our own boys The Squatters have been given a Monthly Residency at one of Ibiza's longest running and busiest nights. They have also been asked to join Judgement at the Ministry Of Sound, London & BCM, Magaluf throughout the year as well. The Squatters will be playing alongside some of the worlds finest DJ's such as Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Cosmic Gate, Krafty Kuts, Micky Slim, Howard Donald to name a few...
